This experimental cuvée represents the essence of my work as a winemaker.  I am exploring uncharted territories, finding the most original expression of my terroir.   Each vintage is a unique expression of subtlety, complexity and elegance.

Why Lou Coucardié?  I have always been an afeicioun (a real fan) of our local tradition of bull games, the “course camarguaise”.  This is a bloodless event (for the bulls) in which the objective is to snatch rosettes and tassels from between the horns of a Camargue bull. The star of these spectacles is the “Lou Coucardié”, the fierce male bull  who gets top billing and stands to gain fame and statues in his honor.  Strong, agile and courageous, he represents the ideal of his race.  In his image, this wine is dedicated to my cherished Camargue region.
